PRE-PROFESSIONAL ACCOUNTING The Pre-Professional Accounting Program is designed specifically for those students who are planning to complete a four-year degree, possibly with a major in Accounting. The core curriculum focuses primarily on Accounting Principles and Intermediate Accounting. Accountants and Auditors are identified as one of the faster growing and higher paid occupational categories through 2010 by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. AAS and Diploma in Accounting are also available. See page 67. It is important that you contact the college or university to which you anticipate transferring credits to assure that core courses will transfer appropriately into your major. The objective of this program is to prepare you to transfer to another institution to obtain a Baccalaureate degree.
