Associate of Arts Degree Arts & Sciences PRE-PROFESSIONAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP This program is geared for those who want to start their own business. The core courses include topics such as writing your business plan, putting together financial plans, and supervising diverse employees. If you are serious about developing a business idea for the corporate or creative world, you will learn how to develop it and take it to the market. This program will show you how to strategize and find funding for your venture. Your courses will take you from the conceptualization process to explore financial, legal, and distribution issues and finally to develop your business plan and pitch your ideas to investors. It is important that you contact the college or university to which you anticipate transferring credits to assure that core courses will transfer appropriately into your major. There is currently a great demand for qualified teachers in Iowa and across the nation. There are also requirements set by the Iowa Board of Education Examiners for Teacher Licensure. • You must graduate with a cumulative GPA of 2.50 or higher in the courses required in your major and/or minor. • You must take two science courses; one of which must be in the life sciences. The following curriculum profile focuses upon the completion of appropriate general education requirements in each of the respective disciplines.
