The Construction Technology program is designed to prepare you for a variety of entry level positions, not just as carpenters. Other areas of employment include customer service representatives, inside or outside sales, designers and estimators for building material, contracting, and hardware supply businesses. Trainee positions in either lumber yard or construction management are still other options, while others may choose to start their own business. The Department of Labor statistics indicate that the majority of supervisors in the building industry are developed and promoted from the carpentry trade. You will receive instruction in business, personal finance and supervisory management. Successful students will be prepared for the challenges of leadership in an exciting and growing industry.
