Tuesday February 7, 2017 - - Thursday March 9, 2017 - 30 Hour Welding
Building D, Room 424
This 30-hour course covers the theory, fundamentals, equipment, and techniques of welding. You will learn about all major welding and cutting processes used in production and repair, in addition to information on reading welding symbols, inspecting and testing welds, and getting a job in the welding industry. There will be plenty of lab time to practice one or more of the welding processes most widely used in industry today, including: oxyfuel gas welding and cutting, shielded metal arc welding, gas metal arc welding, flux cored arc welding, and gas tungsten arc welding, or you may choose to specialize in preparation for welder qualification. Please bring safety glasses, welding gloves, a welding helmet, and pliers. 10 Sessions. Need-based tuition assistance is available. See page 45 for more information. Instructor: Nancy McDowell
