Cosmetology classes will be held on Monday, March 13, in Room 114-119, Building A.
Instructor: Stacy Besch. Stacy has accomplished a great deal through hard work and risk taking in her young life. Being in her 40s, Stacy has been a salon and day spa business owner for over twenty years, an owner of a women’s cafe´boutique, owner of a retail-shopping plaza, an instructor for community colleges throughout the state, a professional speaker around the Midwest, and a mother of two teenage children.
In addition to all of this, Stacy is actively involved in the community by sitting on the local Chamber of Commerce board of directors as past President, is a board member of Morwen Kiwanis, and sits on numerous committees that make progressive changes in her area. She was awarded 2008 Small Business of the Year and 2011 Volunteer of the Year. With her professional speaking, Stacy has captured audiences with motivational and inspiring presentations that assist members of the audience in organizing their lives, encouraging them to take more risks and helping them in making a difference in the lives of others.
Two classes will be offered.
8:00–10:00am: Law & Sanitation
Have fun learning sanitation rules and Iowa cosmetology laws as you participate in game shows! This 2 hours of fun and entertainment will make your required hours go fast!
10:00am–5:00pm: Roll Out the Red Carpet with Sensational Styling
Learn the essentials to preparing and setting your updos while finishing them out with ease and perfection. You will also learn everyday styling techniques that will set you above the rest. Your clients will leave feeling inspired and new with all the new tricks you can do!
