The Motorcycle Safety Foundation Basic Rider Course is a learn-to-ride education and training safety program. The Motorcycle Basic Rider Course will REQUIRE?a 3 hour online portion to be taken PRIOR?to the start of classes. Information will be given to you along with other materials after you register. Register EARLY?to give yourself time to complete the online requirement. This course will include five hours of classroom instruction with a RiderCoach to address rider perception and risk management, and 10 hours of on-cycle, hands-on instruction. A course completion card may provide an insurance discount. Riders must be able to balance a bicycle to participate in the riding portion of the course, and a riding skill test must be passed for successful completion. Cycles will be furnished. Students should bring their own approved helmets. Preregistration and prepayment required.
