friendly community One thing we hear a lot about from our students is that we have a friendly community feeling. Since everyone on campus is dedicated to one mission — your success — everyone is ready and willing to help. So, if you are in a class, have a financial aid question, or need to know where the closest bathroom is (hey — y’all know you had to ask at some point) you can find someone to help you. Being part of a community means individualized attention and more success in class learning. Extra tutoring is always available for FREE. There are also networking opportunities where you can learn proper business etiquette skills. Hey, it sounds like a no-brainer, but having some tips never hurts! We will teach you proper etiquette for a business lunch, proper dress for your chosen field and we can even help you prepare for the always important job interview. You don’t have to go it alone — we will help you. Hey—it’s our job and we love it! Our faculty, well for that matter everyone on campus, are here to help you. We want to take time to get to know you as a person. In fact, that is why a lot of our faculty and staff chose to work at NCC. They didn’t want to work at a large institution where they didn’t get to know their students. They knew they could make a positive difference in people’s lives, and they have chosen to do just that in a small one-on-one setting. Faculty and staff want to know your name not your student ID number. Again, who wants to be known as Student #87496-24? What’s the bottom line? At NCC we try to make you feel like a real person – not a number. We don’t want you to feel lost in a crowd. We try to make it easy to fit in and make the transition from high school as smooth as possible. #funsized #newstart #friendlyteachers #heretohelp agrees #20fastestgrowing community college in the nation
