Personal training sessions can incorporate cardiovascular fitness, muscle strength and endurance, flexibility and balance/core training. Our certified personal trainers are committed to helping you achieve your personal goals in health. We understand your needs are unique and that a “one size fits all” program will not work for you.
: Janice is a resident of Sheldon and has been part of the community since 1988. She has worked at Sheldon Hospital in the Rehab Department and the Wellness Center since 2004 and gained extensive knowledge and experience from this work. Janice is a Certified Personal Trainer and has been teaching classes for the last few years. Through continued education, Janice has been certified in multiple areas including: Total Body, Boot camp, Pilates, High Intensity Interval Training, Kid Fitness, and many others.
r: Josh grew up with a passion for sports, and this introduced him to a passion for exercise. He played basketball, baseball, and football through high school, with these sports got involved with resistance training. After his high school, career he attended Dordt College where he continued his sports career playing Football as well as receiving a degree in Exercise Science – he graduated from Dordt in December 2012. During his time with Dordt Athletics he had 4 years of constant weight-lifting, aerobic, and plyometric training. He worked with multiple sports teams at Dordt College in their lifting programs. Josh also spent a summer working with the University of South Alabama's track program and football program during their summer weight training programs. Josh is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association and has a great knowledge of resistance training.
: Jordan is a Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor at the LLRC. He played every sport possible from 6 years old all the way through high school including soccer, football, baseball, swimming, basketball, and track & field. After high school he was able to continue his football career at Dordt College. Jordan received a degree in Exercise Science from Dordt College in 2013. Jordan has benefited from weight lifting throughout his athletic career and continued that passion for weightlifting by becoming a Certified Fitness Trainer through the International Sport Science Association. In addition, he is a USA-Weightlifting Level 1 Coach and a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Jordan has been fortunate to spend a lot of time around coaches who taught him about the techniques of and benefits to weightlifting, aerobic, and plyometric training. Jordan was recently accepted into Briar Cliff’s Graduate School and will be pursuing a master’s degree in Kinesiology and Human Performance.

Ricky is originally from California and moved to Iowa to attend school and wrestle at Northwestern College in 2011. He graduated from Northwestern College in 2016 with a degree in Kinesiology and a focus in strength and conditioning. During Ricky’s four years in the strength conditioning program, he worked with various sports. He has participated in sports for most of his life including baseball, wrestling, and football. Ricky enjoys working one on one with people interested in fitness. He also enjoys working with sports teams and athletes. Ricky likes taking on new challenges and finding ways to help improve the lives of others. He holds a USAW Olympic Barbell Lifting certification, and is in the process of obtaining his Personal Training certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

Body Composition Testing:
Having your body composition tested is a great way to see where you’re starting, gauge your workout progress, and see results beyond the scale. Our body composition will tell you how much body fat you have, how much lean mass you have, and give you a great measurement tool to track your fitness journey. By appointment only.
