Tornado Shelters

All students and employees participate in tornado drills and learn where the closest shelter to their workstation or classroom is located. In addition, tornado shelter locations are posted in all classrooms and public areas.

If a severe thunderstorm or tornado warning is issued via the intercom:

• Take shelter immediately in nearest designated areas.
• Keep away from open doors, windows and large open areas.
• Instructors and supervisors should account for the students, employees, and visitors in their areas.
• Refer all external inquires to the Vice President – Student & Academic Services.
