Alumni Association
General Purpose
The Alumni Advisory Committee was established to give feedback to Northwest Iowa Community College on effective ways to reach out to alumni and give guidance on how alumni can engage with their alma mater.
Mission
The mission of the NCC Alumni Advisory Committee is to create a strong bond between NCC and our proud alumni. This relationship benefits the alumni in a personal and professional manner, helps our current students by providing guidance, and aids the college by enabling NCC to highlight alumni successes and utilize alumni resources.
Primary Focuses for the Alumni Advisory Committee
- Alumni Outreach—To create a strong plan to reach out to alumni, including but not limited to a set communication strategy, alumni events, continuing education opportunities, job placement strategies, and effective ways to reconnect with successful alumni.
- Community Advocacy—To help the College with long term planning, and whenever possible, be an NCC supporter in the community. This would include helping educate others of the benefit and needs of the College and supporting the Foundation and its mission.
- Assistance in the Success and Guidance of Future Alumni—To assist and plan approaches on ways to give guidance to current NCC students through inspiration with alumni success stories, career guidance, retention strategies, and enhanced scholarship or industry sponsorship opportunities.
