Association of General Contractors (AGC) Heavy Equipment Scholarship Awarded

The Northwest Iowa Community College Foundation is proud to announce that Chase Miller, Mechanicsville; Tyson Smith, Exira; and Novalee Yeary, Hudson, SD, have been awarded the Association of General Contractors (AGC) Heavy Equipment Scholarship.

This scholarship is made possible through a donation from the Association of General Contractors (AGC). The students were awarded this scholarship based on the following criteria:

• Demonstrated good work habits and leadership qualities as evaluated by the heavy equipment faculty.
• Attained high academic achievement as determined by cumulative grade point average in the heavy equipment program.
• Expressed a desire to seek employment in the heavy equipment field following graduation.
• A good record of class attendance.

All of the students are currently enrolled in the Heavy Equipment Operation & Maintenance program at NCC.
