Beekeeping Course Offered at NCC

Why keep bees? Do you want to produce your own honey, enhance your fruit and vegetable production, study the complex inter-workings of bees or just start an interesting new hobby? You will learn the basics of beekeeping from equipment needed, hive components, to the establishment and care of a colony. Included in the registration fee is the cost of a first lessons in beekeeping book.

This course will be on three consecutive Mondays on January 21, January 28 & February 4 from 6:00-8:00 pm on Northwest Iowa Community College’s campus in Sheldon – Building H, Room 513. Section #64117. Tuition: $69.
Instructor: Beth Thole. Beth is a retired teacher turned hobby beekeeper.
