Edward Archer Memorial/MP&W Powerline Scholarship Awarded by the NCC Foundation

The Edward Archer Memorial/MP& W Powerline Scholarship is awarded to a student pursuing their degree in the Powerline field at Northwest Iowa Community College. Luke Elgin, Eldridge, is this year’s recipient of the $500 scholarship.

This scholarship was established in memory of Ed Archer who graduated from the Northwest Iowa Technical College Powerline Program in 1970. Throughout his 37-year career, he worked as a lineman, electric crew foreman, electric superintendent, and system operator. This memorial has been established by Ed’s wife, Kathy Archer, and Muscatine Power and Water to promote the lineman trade and assist students preparing for a career in this field.
