The American Heart Association developed this course to increase survival from sudden cardiac arrest. By strengthening early access, early CPR, and early defibrillation links in the Chain of Survival in a community, this course should help reduce the time to defibrillation for an adult cardiac arrest victim. This course teaches CPR, use of the AED, and relief of Foreign Body Airway Obstruction (FBAO) for the Adult, Child, and Infant victim. This course involves multiple learning activities including a DVD, a videotaped overview of AED use, a video-based demonstration and skills practice, and final practical and written examination. This course is being offered free of charge by Lester EMS and NCC. The first 100 registrants will recieve a free stop the bleed kit and CPR mask.
