FREE Self-Defense Workshop

NCC Lifelong Learning & Recreation Center

Call to Freedom with the support of Cain Ellsworth & Company and the Northwest Iowa Lifelong Learning & Recreation Center (LLRC) will offer a FREE Self-Defense Workshop to community members and college students on Tuesday, August 20 at 7:00 PM.

The self-defense workshop will include lecture, video, and hands-on training on the topics of fear management, pre-attack indicators, real violence, mindset tools, and physical practice.

This workshop is intended for individuals’ ages 9 years old and up. Refreshments will be provided, and participants will be eligible to win door prizes just for attending that night. While this event is free of charge, we will be taking a free-will donation to support Call to Freedom.

Pre-registration is not required, but it is appreciated. Please call the LLRC at (712) 324-2493 to pre-register for this event.

Call to Freedom provides supportive services for victims and survivors of human trafficking and sexual exploitation. By creating a strong network of frontline providers who offer safe housing, mental health counseling, medical assistance, chemical dependency, transportation and other supportive services they serve victims and survivors in Sioux Falls and the surrounding areas. They are a non-profit organization which is fully funded by the generosity of individuals who support their mission of providing victims and survivors of human trafficking with the help they need.
