Take an in-depth look at the murders and subsequent trials that shocked the Midwest! Learn about the investigation, escape and eventual conviction of the Fryer Brothers, three brothers convicted of the murders of four teenagers at Gitchie Manitou. You will learn not only about the case, but will learn about how the criminal justice system works! The session will cover major criminal justice topics including the death penalty, charging decisions, and post-conviction actions. Shayne Mayer has served as the Lyon County Attorney since November of 2012. She is an avid true crime enthusiast with a special interest in capital cases. 1 Session. Instructor: Shayne L. Mayer.
