Non-Credit Certificate
This program is designed to introduce you to manufacturing. Successful completion of this class will result in a locally-recognized NCC completion certification. Financial assistance available for those who qualify.
The cost of the class is $3,600*.
GAP assistance is available and is designed to help job seekers secure gainful employment in high-quality, local jobs.
GAP funding is intended for job seekers who:
• Have a household income at or below program guidelines
• Are unemployed
• Are underemployed
• Are dislocated workers
In addition to tuition assistance, GAP Navigators provide participants with personal, career and support services.

The course will begin with an introduction to materials, Shop Math, Blueprint Reading, and Precision Measurement. You then have the opportunity to choose between the Basic Machining or Basic Welding Pathway!

E. Mill and Lathe Setup
A. Welding Safety
B. Shielding Metal Arc Welding (SMAW)
C. Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW)
D. Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW)
Typically entry-level positions begin at $20–$25/hour with these skills with potential to earn more.
Manufacturing facilities. Specifically, the skills and credentials you receive in this program can give you a step up with area manufacturers or help advance your current position.
