BASIC FUNCTION: For those programs without a full-time faculty member, we have a need for an adjunct lead work agreement which would be given to a person who oversees programmatic needs. Programs without a full-time faculty include:
• Ag
• Accounting
• ITS
• VAM
• Web & Graphic Design
• Pharmacy Technician

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required –Two-year post-secondary AAS degree in the field or related field.
Three years of recent experience in the field

Preferred – Bachelor’s degree in closely related field. 5 years recent experience in the field with
Previous teaching experience. Bilingual in Spanish and English

DESIRED QUALITIES AND CHARACTERISTICS:
1. Excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills, and leadership skills.
2. Ability to work with a wide range of students.
3. Ability to provide effective instruction to a broad spectrum of traditional and nontraditional students.
4. Ability to work in a team environment.
5. Basic computer skills.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Each program specialist stipend person would be responsible for:
1. Serving as curriculum and content expert
2. Advising college on workforce needs
3. Assisting in the 5-year program review
4. Overseeing program assessment
5. Choosing course textbooks
6. Meeting with prospective students including campus visits, Thunder Fridays, and campus orientations,etc.
7. Identifying recruiting needs
8. Coordinating student registration with program advisor
9. Fielding student inquiries
10. Attending advisory committee meetings
11. Recommending course substitutions / transfer credits
12. Attending regular meetings with the program supervisor
13. Attending identified in-service and/or professional development opportunities

Approximate hours per semester
Assessment: 8 hours
Thunder Fridays: 6 hours
Advisory Committees: 2 hours
Orientation: 2 hours
Curriculum updates: 2 hours
Student Emails: 2-4 hours
=up to 24 hours total

We are proposing a work agreement for $1000 a year. The adjunct lead work agreement would be reviewed each year based on performance and needs. Some of this work will require this person to be on campus and some of it will be done remotely. This person would also ideally teach some of the courses in their program on a separate adjunct work agreement.

WAGE/SALARY RANGE: Based upon experience and education.
