Machinist

The machinists work closely with our Engineering and Production departments to create parts for our manufacturing equipment. This position would be on the 4pm to Midnight or Midnight to 8am shift.

Description:

• Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications
• Operates machine tools such as lathes, milling machines and grinders to produce parts
• Programming and running CNC mills and CNC lathes
• Basic understanding of G code
• Review electronic or written blueprints or specifications for a job
• Maintains specifications by taking measurements with
• proper measuring devices
• Troubleshoot equipment
• Maintains equipment by completing preventative maintenance
• Documents actions by completing production and quality logs
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Precision Machining or similar technical degree preferred
• Intermediate math skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to read blueprints
• Understand computer software programs such as CAD
• Ability to work independently
• Experience with machine tools such as lathes, milling machines and grinders
