City of Eldridge


The City of Eldridge is accepting applications for a full-time Electric Lineworker/Lineworker Apprentice.  Under the direction of the Utility Manager, they will perform all overhead and underground electrical work involved in the construction, maintenance, and operation of the electric distribution system.

The preferred candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of work experience in the electric distribution field.  All candidates must have the ability to climb poles and perform all aspects of the electric distribution construction and maintenance work.  Must also have a valid driver’s license with the ability to obtain a Class A CDL license within one year from the date of hire.  Successful completion of an approved Electrical Line Worker Program from an accredited technical school or completed an Electrical Line Worker apprenticeship program endorsed by the Department of Labor.  The anticipated starting pay is between $29.50/per hour and $39.34/per hour depending on qualifications with an excellent benefits package.
