FIRST REFORMED CHURCH COMMUNICATIONS:

Prepare and send out bi-weekly prayer email. Maintain outdoor electronic sign

Preparation of weekly bulletin. (This includes large print bulletin for the people in the nursing home and shut-ins for FRC’s Communication Assistant to print & distribute.

Maintain and upkeep of church website and social media platforms

SCHEDULE KEEPING: Compile valet parking assistant, video and projectionist schedule.
Manage requests to use church facility (weddings, family gatherings, graduations, etc.) by informing the Executive Team. Compile and distribute schedules for Consistory, Music, P.A., Greeters, Nursery Schedules, and delivery of church bulletins.

RECORD KEEPING: Place a copy of Elders’ and Consistory Minutes and Financial Report in the Consistory Information Book. Organize and distribute year-end report for the church. This includes statistics and financial reports. Annual denomination reports are filled out and sent to the appropriate place. Keep church membership list updated. A church directory (names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses) should be compiled and distributed in between the publishing of the Pictorial Directories, which are done every five years.

OFFICE LIFE: The Communications Coordinator (CC) must work at least half of their hours from the office to answer phones, take care of weekly tasks, greet members and visitors and assist them (to the best of their ability) with whatever administrative needs they might have, and to attend staff meetings.

The CC will be working closely with the Communications Assistant (CA) to organize FRC’s publication materials and will be responsible for providing leadership in those areas and delegating responsibilities as needed. Additionally, the CC will consult with the Senior Pastor with ideas, questions, or concerns about the working relationship with the CA.

The CC will have the ability to coordinate a fluid and flexible schedule with the CA about covering office hours on a weekly basis; as long as one or both persons are in the office during scheduled hours.

The Communications Coordinator will attend weekly staff meetings as scheduled by the Pastor.
