Job Summary:

Reports to Crossroads Pavilion Management (General, Assistant, Manager on Duty) and is responsible for providing timely, accurate and friendly service while preparing the highest quality beverages for guests. Shifts are all hours—days, nights, weekends & holidays. Continued hours of work may be long and varied.

 

Qualifications:

Applicant must be 18 years of age.

Must have working knowledge of beer, wine and liquor and common drink recipes.

Must have basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a cash register and/or POS system.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·       Take beverage orders from guests

·       Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the Crossroads Pavilion’s standard and special drink recipes

·       Record drink orders accurately and immediately after receipt into the register system

·       Accept guest payment, process credit card charges and make change

·       Wash and sterilize glassware

·       Prepare and replenish garnishes for drinks

·       Maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages

·       Make recommendations and answer questions regarding beverages

·       Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas

·       Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to Manager

·       Assist the restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies

·       Requires a flexible schedule

·       Ability to take initiative and work effectively both individually and as part of a team

·       Perform other duties as assigned by the Crossroads Pavilion Management

·       Attendance during regularly scheduled hours.

 

Education and/or Experience:

High School diploma, GED or equivalent.

Previous bartending experience preferred.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Willingness to obtain necessary certifications and licenses.

 

Language Skills:

·       Ability to speak and understand English

·       Ability to read and write

·       Ability to deal effectively and courteously with venue patrons, clients and co-workers
