They are a family-owned organization headquartered in Des Moines with branches in Burlington, Cedar Rapids, Davenport, Fort Dodge, Mason City, Sioux City, Waterloo and Columbus, NE.

We are looking for a radio technician in our Sioux City office to maintain and repair two-way radios.  You will install, repair, and maintain two-way radios used in dispatch centers. This includes performing routine checks and inspections, diagnosing issues, and replacing parts or equipment as needed.

If you have good troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, can keep detailed records, able to talk to clients, understand why preventative maintenance is important and enjoy learning about new technology this could be the career for you.  A high school diploma or equivalent and experience with two-way radio and dispatch center equipment needed.

Additional information:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems: The technician must be able to troubleshoot and diagnose issues with two-way radios and related equipment. They must also have the ability to identify and address problems that arise with dispatch centers and communication systems.
    Conduct preventative maintenance: The technician must perform routine maintenance checks and preventative maintenance procedures to ensure the reliability and longevity of the communication equipment.
    Maintain records and documentation: The technician must keep detailed records of repairs, maintenance, and inspections performed on two-way radios and dispatch center equipment.
    Provide technical support: The technician must provide technical support to dispatch center personnel, including troubleshooting equipment issues and answering questions about system operations.
  • Stay current with new technology: The technician must stay up to date with new technologies and advancements in two-way radios and communication systems.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines: The technician must follow safety guidelines and protocols when working with two-way radios and other electronic equipment.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent
Experience with two-way radio and dispatch center equipment
Strong technical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication and customer service skills
Ability to lift and move heavy equipment
Familiarity with safety protocols and guidelines.
