Ogden Municipal Utilities

Ogden Municipal Utilities is accepting application for a Journeyman Utilities Technician position.  We are looking for a candidate that is self-motivated and strives to continue to provide reliable power to the Ogden Community.  The line crews are responsible for the construction and maintenance of the overhead and underground distribution and transmission system.  Crews are also responsible for construction and maintenance of the water treatment and distribution system.  Crews will assist in generation plant as needed.

  • Journeyman status will be given preference, experienced apprentices will be considered.
  • Must have or be able to obtain Class A CDL within 6 months of employment.
  • Must have the ability to work safely and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to work at elevated heights and in confined spaces.
  • Ability to comply with company’s residency requirements within 6 months of employment.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.

Job consists of a 40-hour workweek, Monday-Friday 7:30-4:00, with longer hours as emergencies require.  Employees are required to be in an on-call rotation.
