Designer/Drafter

A Designer/Drafter at STI will prepare clear, complete and accurate working plans and detail drawings from rough or detailed sketches, notes or prototypes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Uses SolidWorks to create finished designs or drawing adjustments from sketches, models or notes.

·         Utilizes knowledge of various machines, engineering practices, mathematics, and materials to complete drawings in accordance with internal procedures and industry standards.

·         Resolves manufacturing issues for fit or function, strong tolerance stack up understanding.

·         Creates and updates product manuals & other technical writings.

·         Evaluate time, process, or sequence on shop floor for drawing or production changes.

·         Highly proficient in multiple task prioritization, time management and understanding direction.

Qualifications:

Candidates should have an associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Schedule:

We offer multiple options for your workday between the hours of 6am and 5pm. Employees can choose different work schedules twice per year.
