Summary

We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated Accounting & Human Resources Coordinator to perform a variety of accounting & financial tasks, as well as ensure accurate execution and maintenance of the HR duties in a timely manner.  A successful candidate will be highly organized, able to embrace flexibility while remaining positive in a fast-paced environment, and be familiar with all accounting procedures & principles.  Experience with farm accounting is a plus!  Exempt position with salary dependent on qualifications.

Responsibilities

1.    Receivables, Payables, Cash Management & Regulatory Compliance

2.    General Ledger entries

3.    Financial account reconciliations

4.    Process bi-weekly payroll, taxes, and benefits

5.    Human Resource administration – paperwork, benefits maintenance, & support

6.    Records maintenance

7.    Assist Financial Director and ownership with the processing of month-end, year-end, and various tax filings

8.    Provide administrative support & assistance to Farm Manager and Owner as needed

9.    Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience

·         Farm and/or property management accounting experience is preferred

·         Experience with at least 1 accounting software program – QuickBooks or PC Mars is a MAJOR PLUS!

·         2-year college degree and 2 years of Accounting, HR, and Payroll experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

·         Detail orientated with the ability to work well under pressure with little direction

·         Proven financial background with general ledger experience

·         Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word

·         Knowledge of employment laws & regulations, as well as payroll policy and procedures

·         Ability to analyze and solve problems

·         Knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, & bank deposit reconciliations

·         Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills

·         Excellent time management skills

·         Discretion in dealing with confidential information required
