Machining Basics
Non-Credit Certificate
This program is designed to introduce you to machining and prepare you for an entry-level position as a machine operator or general machinist. Additionally, this program will cover machining safety basics. Successful completion of this class will result in a locally-recognized NCC completion certification. Financial assistance available for those who qualify.
Cost & Financial Assistance
The cost of the class is $3,150*.
GAP assistance is available and is designed to help job seekers secure gainful employment in high-quality, local jobs.
GAP funding is intended for job seekers who:
• Have a household income at or below program guidelines
• Are unemployed
• Are underemployed
• Are dislocated workers
In addition to tuition assistance, GAP Navigators provide participants with personal, career and support services.

Northwest Iowa Community College provides contract training in the areas of machining/Machine Tool Technology/CNC designed to meet long-term and short-term training needs. The intended audience could consist of managers, engineers, office professionals, skilled trades, and production operators and maintenance personnel.
