NCC Honors Foundation Board Member
Rich Haack of Sheldon, recently completed his service to the Northwest Iowa Community College Foundation Board. Haack served as a member representing the Sheldon Community School District beginning in 2018.
Haack had been involved in multiple fundraising campaigns, and the passing of the General Obligation Bond in 2018. He has a special interest in enhancing scholarship opportunities for NCC students, and has been great advocate for the multicultural student population of NCC, including creating an Emergency Student Aid fund specifically for non-native Northwest Iowa students.
Lyle Korver, President of the Northwest Iowa Community College states, “Rich has been a great addition to the Foundation Board. He has been a fantastic advocate for the students of NCC, especially for students who don’t originate from Northwest Iowa. I have enjoyed getting to know Rich and serving with him. On behalf of the Foundation Board I want thank him for everything he has done for NCC and the students.”
The NCC Foundation Board is comprised of eighteen members, fourteen of whom represent each public-school district in NCC’s service territory, two members from the NCC Board of Trustees, and multiple retired NCC Presidents. The mission of the Northwest Iowa Community College Foundation is to attract and manage financial resources, enhance awareness of the College, and to support access to lifelong learning opportunities.
