NCC Starts a New Program, AA+, to Help Adult Students Finish Their Degrees

Northwest Iowa Community College has started a new program, AA+, which is specifically designed to help working adults who have earned some college credit, but did not earn their degree. Previously earned credits, through NCC or any accredited college or university, would count towards finishing this degree option. So, whether it is 3 or 20 credits the NCC Admissions team will work with each student to design a schedule in order to complete a degree in the most time and cost effective way possible.

This Associate of Arts degree is perfect for the student who wants a stand-alone 2-year degree, or the student who wants to transfer to a college or university to complete their 4-year degree. The entire program is 4 semesters and can be taken full or part-time. Many students can complete the program in less time because of their previously earned credits. This program is fully online, however, some courses are available on campus. Classes are completed in 8-week sessions to make it easy to start and stop anytime. Books are only $99 per semester — guaranteed if you finish within a 3 year time period.

Lisa Story, Director of Admissions, stated, “Do you have some college behind you, but you didn’t graduate? Life happens. Don’t let those credits sit there not counting towards a degree. You earned them — let’s finish! We hear stories like this all the time, so let’s talk about finishing your diploma or degree. My staff and I are here to help!”

Some of the key features of this program are:
