NCC Students Awarded the Sheldon Competition Park Legacy Scholarship

Zachary LeGrand, Colesburg, and Ethan Van Bemmel, Orange City, have been awarded the Sheldon Competition Park Legacy Scholarship by the Northwest Iowa Community College Foundation. Van Bemmel is a Heavy Equipment Operation & Maintenance student and LeGrand is a Powerline student at NCC.

Sheldon Competition Park was a motorsports complex that offered Motocross, Demolition Derby, Go-Karts and Mud Drags. The complex was constructed with the aid of NCC’s Powerline and Heavy Equipment programs. The dedication and hard work of all the volunteers who made the organization successful has created this $250 scholarship as a legacy to encourage students interested in Powerline and Heavy Equipment to use their talents for the betterment of their communities.
