The Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) is an Associate of Applied Science degree completion program. It is designed for students who have successfully completed the Practical Nursing program at Northwest Iowa Community College, or for the Licensed Practical Nurse eligible to practice who wishes to continue study for an Associate Degree in Nursing (RN).

Graduates are eligible to take the National Council Licensing Examination (NCLEX) given by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing. Students in the ADN program learn current nursing theory through comprehensive class and laboratory sessions and apply this knowledge in a clinical/preceptorship at cooperating healthcare facilities. The one-year curriculum prepares students in medical-surgical, geriatric, obstetrical, pediatric, and psychiatric nursing areas. Graduates may also transfer credits to four-year programs to obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

NCC offers both a full time or part time option for the ADN program.

The Associate Accounting Degree is an Associate of Applied Science degree. It is designed for students to work extensively with all aspects of the accounting cycle. After the first two semesters of the program, a student is prepared for an entry-level position in bookkeeping and general accounting. If a student chooses the two-year degree program, they would have additional skills useful in a public, private, or government accounting career.

As the economy grows, the number of business establishments will increase, requiring more accountants and auditors to set up books, prepare taxes, and provide management advice.

NCC offers both a full or part time option for the Associate Accounting Degree program. This program is also offered both on campus and online or a combination of both.
