Do you plan to attend Northwest Iowa Community College after graduating from high school?

If you answered YES to both of these questions, what are you waiting for? Every class you took while in high school for college credit works towards a degree at NCC! Numerous scholarships will be awarded and the dollar amount you are eligible for is based on how many classes you took and how well you did in those classes! If you qualify for the Next Step Scholarship, you could be awarded up to $1,500 in scholarship funds!

*Next Step Scholarship eligible students must begin classes full-time in the fall or spring semester within twelve months of high school graduation, and be registered in any of the following programs of study: Associate of Arts; Transfer Majors: Agriculture Business, Agriculture Education, Agronomy, Animal Science, Biology, Business, Criminal Justice, Early Childhood Teacher Licensure, Elementary Education, English, Exercise Science and Kinesiology, History, Mathematics, Physics, Political Science, Psychology, Secondary Education, Social Work, & Sociology; AA+; Business Management; Agriculture; Pharmacy Technician; or Virtual Administration Management.

Advanced Placement courses do not count as NCC college credit and will not be considered in the total number of earned college credits. Scholarship proceeds will be divided between the fall and spring semesters, is not renewable, and must be used for tuition, fees, and books. Students receiving an NCC President’s or Foundation Scholarship are not eligible for the Next Step Scholarship. Eligible recipients must submit final high school transcript.
