Certified nurse aides play a key role as members of the comprehensive healthcare team in a variety of medical settings. If you want to provide personal care, compassion and empathy for patients, this may be the career for you! CNAs provide personal hygiene care for patients including bathing, feeding, and dressing. Infection control to prevent the spread of germs; dietary care to provide adequate nutrition for your patients; reporting as a frontline key member of the patient’s healthcare team including vital signs, as well as other necessary observations; and emotional support are also part of this important career.
