Personal Training is an approach to health and fitness that implements one-on-one attention and motivation to personal goals. Personal training sessions incorporate cardiovascular fitness, muscle strength, endurance, flexibility, and balance/core training.
Personal trainers provide one-on-one assistance as you design and an exercise program tailored to meet your goals, fitness level, and experience.
Let us help you add fun and variety to your workout as we develop a program suited to your unique needs. We understand that “one size fits all” programs do not work.

Our body composition test tells you how much body fat and lean mass you have, and gives you a reliable measurement tool that tracks your fitness journey. By appointment only.

Janice Wielenga
Janice is a resident of Sheldon and has been part of the community since 1988. She has worked at Sheldon Hospital in the Rehab Department and the Wellness Center since 2004 and gained extensive knowledge and experience from this work. Janice is a Certified Personal Trainer and has been teaching classes for the last few years. Through continued education, Janice has been certified in multiple areas including: Total Body, Boot camp, Pilates, High Intensity Interval Training, Kid Fitness, and many others.
Ricky Ortiz
Ricky is originally from California and moved to Iowa to attend school and wrestle at Northwestern College in 2011. He graduated from Northwestern College in 2016 with a degree in Kinesiology and a focus in strength and conditioning. During Ricky’s four years in the strength conditioning program, he worked with various sports. He has participated in sports for most of his life including baseball, wrestling, and football. Ricky enjoys working one on one with people interested in fitness. He also enjoys working with sports teams and athletes. Ricky likes taking on new challenges and finding ways to help improve the lives of others. He holds a USAW Olympic Barbell Lifting certification, and is in the process of obtaining his Personal Training certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
