We encourage you to apply and explore these opportunities to support your educational and athletic journey.

  • How many are on a roster?

Our team maintains a minimum roster of 16 players. This size ensures a close-knit team dynamic while providing ample opportunities for each player to contribute significantly on the field.

  • Is your campus safe?

Safety is a top priority for us. Our campus is well-lit, compact, and designed for convenience and security. The short distances between buildings and dorms make for a comfortable and secure environment for our students. NCC was also named Safest Community College in Iowa by StateUniversity.com.

  • Do you provide everything I would need to play?

We’ve got you covered! We provide all the necessary gear except for cleats and shin guards. This includes uniforms, training equipment, and other essentials to ensure you’re well-equipped to play.

  • Will you help me transfer to a 4-year college or university?

Definitely! I [Coach Thomas] have a strong track record of helping our athletes transfer to a range of institutions, from Division 1 to NAIA universities. Our goal is to support your academic and athletic aspirations, wherever they may take you.

  • What kind of athlete are you looking for?

We value hardworking, coachable, and confident athletes. Your attitude, dedication, and willingness to learn are as important as your skills on the field.

  • My friend might be interested, too. Can they be recruited?

Of course! We’re always on the lookout for new talent, and referrals from our players are highly appreciated. Encourage your friend to get in touch with us, and let’s explore the possibilities together.

  • I am a vegetarian. Can you accommodate that?

Absolutely! Our on-campus cafeteria caters to various dietary needs, including vegetarian options. We ensure that all our students have access to nutritious and delicious meals that meet their dietary preferences.

  • Do you have the program I am interested in?

Northwest Iowa Community College offers a diverse range of programs. We encourage you to explore our academic offerings to find a program that aligns with your interests and career goals.

  • Do I need a certain GPA?

Yes, we require a minimum GPA of 2.0 to participate in our soccer program. This standard encourages our athletes to maintain a balance between their academic and athletic commitments.

  • I’ve only played soccer for a year, but I love it. Can I play for NCC?

Absolutely! Your passion for the game is what matters most. We are here to help develop your skills and foster your love for soccer. Your enthusiasm and dedication are exactly what we look for in our players.
